Irving, Texas (February 8, 2007) - H.D. Vest Financial Services® (H.D. Vest) announced today that it has partnered with Cannon Financial Institute, Inc. to provide practice management training to its top 600 Advisors. H.D. Vest is one of the oldest and largest independent financial services firms specializing in training and supporting tax professionals with over 5,500 independent Advisor affiliates. The training will take place in Arizona and Texas during May of 2007 and is being called the H.D. Vest Elite AcademySM.

"The H.D. Vest Elite Academy is the product of tremendous research by the firm. We surveyed our Advisors to find out what road blocks were keeping them from helping more clients. We sent our Practice Management team out to more than a dozen Advisors' offices to observe their current procedures and how they utilize technology to see what opportunities existed. We conducted multiple focus groups around practice management to gather ideas. So, the result of all this research is this new training concept called the H.D. Vest Elite Academy, and we are excited to roll it out in May," said Roger Ochs, president of H.D. Vest.

"We've designed content for an intensive advanced practice management experience for H.D. Vest Advisors who want to grow their business and put systems in place to make the growth of the business less painful and more profitable," said William Trigleth, III, Executive Vice President of Cannon Financial Institute, Inc.

H.D. Vest Elite Academy 2007 participants will start their journey with one concentrated workshop focusing on creating a consistent client experience. Participants will also be given many opportunities to network with their peers to trade best practices. Following the conference, attendees will participate in a six-month follow-up program to help them implement the concepts learned during the workshop.
